It amused me reading Arthur C. Clarke's 1952 novel 'Islands In The Sky', in Chapter 9 (which in my book has been printed upside down as Chapter 6)
is the sentence:
'It was true that I had seen many films and photographs of the Moon's other side, and it was also true that it was very much the same as the visible face.'
I suppose Clarke wasn't to know he was wrong for another seven years! 😄

@HumanServitor@mastodon.social Given the speed at which publishing operates there's barely time for a series to appear since 2020! You might want to look into Adrian Tschaikovsky's work (caveat: I haven't read him yet), but that's about all I can think of.

Automatically blocking any account that uses Harry Potter to farm engagement. It is time to move past Harry Potter as a society, we do not need to keep maintaining JK Rowling's cashflow or propping a series that actually is not very well written and chock full of offensive racial stereotypes and literary cliches.
